During the SVD Mission Awards on January 29, 2010, as he received the Fr. Peter Yang Award for St Jude Shrine, Fr. Roland Aquino SVD, the Shrine Rector, announced that in its recent assembly the CBCP has declared St Jude Archdiocesan Shrine as the St. Jude National Shrine. [more]

2nd National Congress of the Clergy

From January 25 to 29, 2010, around 5500 priests and bishops from all over the Philippines gathered for a spiritual retreat at the World Trade Center, Pasay City. The main speaker was Fr. Rainero Cantalamessa, OFM Cap., who is also the Spiritual Director of the Holy Father and the preacher at the Papal Household. [more]

SVD Mission Awards

Awardees will be honored at a banquet on January 29, 2010 and be presented with an SVD Missions Awards Plaque. Furthermore, a fifty thousand peso (P50, 000.00) cash reward will be given to the seven awardees.  The awardees will also typically receive significant recognition at this event and in the hearts of all SVD nationwide. The PHC Provincialate, through the Characteristic Dimensions Secretariat, organized relief efforts for the flood victims. The residents of Catholic Trade Community donated clothing, and other items were solicited from friends. [more]
